Lately life has felt busy. Something to do right after work, needing to call someone, not feeling like you can squeeze everything you need to into one day. I don’t love feeling like that. I will admit I’ve been doing my breathing in the morning lying in bed with my hands feeling the baby. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but actually getting out of bed and sitting and being present in a space is so helpful for me. It doesn’t need to be anywhere special, just somewhere I can close my eyes and just breathe.
As I was thinking about this I started to think about a challenge. Something that would help us to stop each day for one solid week and get to that place where ten minutes was just ours. Ours to do whatever we needed to do, wanted to do, to feel grounded and calm again. I know the time approaching the holidays is always so busy so this is an invitation to make time for yourself ten minutes a day for seven days..
