“To nourish ourselves we need to become our own best friends and when we feel like we haven’t met our standards, remember to be gentle, patient and persistent.”
Join Jeff, Aggie and I for our third version of the 21 day holistic eating and living journey! We are going to get back to basics and just try our best to eat clean and simply for 21 days. When I first started this, I was concentrating on getting my body and mind ready to make babies. Now that I’m on the other end of this, I might change it up a little bit to try and include more nutrient dense foods that are helpful for breast milk production or just more so for nourishing mamas! Feel free to add or subtract what you want to help it suit whatever part of your fertility journey you’re on.
You can check out the tab above that outlines the things we’ll be doing in terms of eating and living more simply. Things like including more mindfulness practices into our days, less time on our phones and computers, and more time just connecting to one another.
It’s so easy to get caught up, not just with a new baby, but in general. It’s just easy to feel ‘busy’ even on days when we haven’t planned anything. The summers in Canada fly by so quickly – you’re constantly at someones house for dinner, or taking advantage of the weather and enjoying a glass of wine outside! Being able to turn inward a bit as the fall approaches is such a therapeutic way to adjust your mindset. In addition to posting more about what we’re eating and doing, I will also be posting some ideas on general mindfulness tips and tools as well as focused mindfulness practices you can incorporate into your own life to help balance you on your fertility, pregnancy and mamahood journey.
