I wish there was some way we could turn our dreams into real life. You know the feeling when you see someone or some place so clearly it kind of hurts your heart when you wake up? It’s like it was real for a second and then all of a sudden when your eyes open you remember where you are.

Reality shouldn’t be this thing we’re escaping. Our dreams should be our real life. The magic, the twists and turns – the wildness of it all.

I know I’m a dreamer. I’m also a doer and an action taker. It’s easy to criticize me for having my head in the clouds – but you can’t say I haven’t done what I’ve said I’m going to do. I will always be proud of myself for that.

As the days start to grow longer and we draw closer to a new year, this is what I’m believing and seeing and living for.

no matter what happens.
no matter how far you
seem to be away from
where you want to be.
never stop believing
that you will somehow make it.
have an unrelenting belief
that things will work out,
that the long road has purpose,
that the things you desire may not happen today,
but they will happen.
continue to persist and persevere.
