Because sometimes you need to pause for a bit and see what that feels like
Because sometimes you need to dig your hands into the earth and watch things grow
Because sometimes you need to just sit and stare and revel in the fact that a baby turned one, that a girl turned four
And that doing work side by side with your own sister is the ultimate hands to the sky moment, where your entire being is like YES, this is so good
Most of the time there isn’t a right decision, but I think we do need to make a decision, to flow better, to roll better, to allow the space around us to exist – so we can continue to breathe
It doesn’t mean that we can’t be in a constant state of figuring it out (I know I am)
Slowing my thinking down alongside my body – continuing to show up and make myself available for the work
Because sometimes you need to recognize that you’re doing the work even when it can feel like it’s coated in grey sludge that feels impossible to see through
Allowing it to be a constant flux, a bumpy ride amidst the grays, not a definite black or white answer
Listen to what you’re saying to yourself, and try not attach to it. We all have thoughts (ego??) but that doesn’t mean we are those thoughts, the moment they arise we can make the decision to continue to let them float by or maybe for a moment sit in it, think about what it might look like if we make one thought a reality or simply do nothing with it
Letting the gray space feel good (even when it’s so damn uncomfortable)
The ability to say yes
To give yourself what you need to feel safe enough to move forward
To seek out what ignites you
To gently close the door on things that no longer are alive in our soul
To embrace empty space as our friend – because it’s not really empty, it’s full of so much potential (even when we don’t know what that is, we can feel it)
I like to think of it as the birth place of whatever is next and sometimes (as scary as it is), it’s good to not know exactly what it is but to feel it working itself out
Right there beside you, wild one. Let’s make some damn magic!
